I believe during some time last year, I had wanted to major in psychology. Though I didn't know for certain what branch of psychology I would have wanted to study, I was thinking about either developmental or clinical psychology. As with many people, all things psychological interest and fascinate me, however I found that the field is crowded with hopefuls and that much competition does not interest me too much.
Next year though, I am planning to take both AP Psychology and AP Chemistry to help me decide between choosing the path of a psychologist or a pharmacist, for I have not made a solid decision about my future yet. Actually, most sciences interest me, at least the ones that don't require me cutting someone open or seeing and excessive amount of blood...
Whoa! I had no idea you were interested in psychology. It's interesting, huh? I feel your pain when it comes to majors being crowded and schools being impacted. It sucks, right? I'm sure senior year you'll rock the APs, so don't stress yourself out!
ReplyDeleteI'm in regular psychology with Ms. Atton this year and I definitely agree with you. Every time I have her class I learn something new that blows my mind. I heard her AP psychology class is really hard.....I mean really hard. They go through our whole textbook and they go much more in detail for every chapter. I know it sounds like I'm trying to scare you away from her class but don't worry! She's one of the best teachers I've ever had and I'm sure you'll do fine:)
ReplyDeletePsychology has always interested me too! But maybe you could combine your love of the sciences and create drugs that help people with depression or other mental illnesses. You don't always have to turn your majors into an ultimatum! Good luck Nicole!
